Right now, over 40,000 people call Shelby County home.  In seven years, that number will be closer to 45,000.  In 2030, it is projected to be 53,000.

At the Triple S Planning Commission, our job is to guarantee that the 13,000 people who move to Shelby County over the next two decades receive the services that they need to prosper, while ensuring that those who live here now can continue to enjoy Shelby County’s rural charm and high quality of life.

The Comprehensive Plan is our guide.  It contains everything we know about the County — transportation, housing, land use, population, economic development, community facilities, and natural and historic resources.  It details the County’s strong points and its opportunities for a better tomorrow.  The Plan sets out our vision for the future, and how to get there.
